You are invited to the kickoff to Women of the Valley!
Women of the Valley is a project created by Northwest Passage in partnership with the National Park Service. The project empowers the at-risk young women of Northwest Passage to discover self-worth and internal power by sharing the stories of how women have shaped the history and culture of the St. Croix River Valley, both historically and today. They will tell these stories through photography, photojournalism, historical research, and creative writing.
The Kickoff will be held at the St. Croix River Visitor Center on Friday, November 16th. The reception will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with an official presentation at 4:00 p.m. In addition to the kickoff, there will be artistic drawings and photos by the Northwest Passage girls on display at the St. Croix River Visitor Center through the end of December.
