brighter futures

The Northwest Passage Brighter Futures program is an early intervention and prevention program for families in Douglas County, who have children in 3rd-5th grades and have no current social service involvement. This program is designed to intervene early with children and families, so that further problems can be prevented. Our services are voluntary. Our services are FREE.

why would you need the brighter futures program?

If your 3rd-5th grade child is experiencing difficulties in any of the following areas:
  • Emotional
  • Behavioral
  • Social (Friends, peer relations, siblings)
  • Academic

If your family is experiencing difficulties in any of the following areas:
  • Parenting
  • Emotional support
  • Increasing positive family functioning
  • Accessing community resources
  • Increasing structure at home (i.e. bedtime, chores, rules, homework)
  • Sibling issues
